{"id":1760,"date":"2021-09-08T14:02:41","date_gmt":"2021-09-08T14:02:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/soliloquyforthefallen.net\/?p=1760"},"modified":"2024-02-02T23:49:22","modified_gmt":"2024-02-02T23:49:22","slug":"historical-evidence-for-asking-questions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/soliloquyforthefallen.net\/?p=1760","title":{"rendered":"Historical Evidence for Asking Questions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Over the last few years I&#8217;ve heard a lot about how we need to &#8220;trust the science,&#8221; &#8220;trust the government,&#8221; etc.\u00a0 Here is a compendium of reasons from reasonable sources (or well cited) that we should always ask questions.\u00a0 I&#8217;m not saying that in every case below people were purposefully acting maliciously, although the Tuskegee Syphilis experiments definitely qualify, but if no one had challenged and questioned &#8230;. what would have happened?<\/p>\n<p>I would like to point that as a child I was taught that science never solved anything.\u00a0 And that by questioning the tests you strengthened the results.<\/p>\n<p>The cases below are offered for your perusal, interpretation, and consideration into &#8220;asking questions,&#8221; which is not always the same as challenging authority.\u00a0 The constitution and law has given us a process to challenge authority and it should be followed.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Buck_v._Bell\">https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Buck_v._Bell<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Agent_Orange#U.S._veterans\">https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Agent_Orange#U.S._veterans<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/tuskegee\/timeline.htm\">https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/tuskegee\/timeline.htm<\/a> Tuskegee Syphilis experiments<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/helix.northwestern.edu\/article\/thalidomide-tragedy-lessons-drug-safety-and-regulation\">https:\/\/helix.northwestern.edu\/article\/thalidomide-tragedy-lessons-drug-safety-and-regulation<\/a>. As a side note, review <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chop.edu\/centers-programs\/vaccine-education-center\/vaccine-details\/anthrax-vaccine\">this<\/a>. It states, &#8220;About 20 percent of those infected will develop difficulty breathing and a bloodstream infection that causes death. If treated with antibiotics, less than 2 percent of infected persons will die.&#8221; This is not for inhaled anthrax but for blood infection anthrax. The risk profile is so low that mass vaccination is not recommended. If anthrax becomes a used bioweapon the threat profile would change, though thankfully the vaccine appears to protect (per the Children&#8217;s Hospital of Philadelphia link above) against inhaled anthrax as well. This is why military personnel heading into a high threat profile are vaccinated.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.atomicheritage.org\/history\/human-radiation-experiments\"> https:\/\/www.atomicheritage.org\/history\/human-radiation-experiments<\/a>. Plutonium injections into 18 individuals, who were not informed of the injections.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.snopes.com\/fact-check\/asthma-cigarettes\/\">Kellog&#8217;s Asthma Relief<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/COINTELPRO\">COINTELPRO<\/a>, illegal wiretapping and alleged assassinations.
